EU LEADER progamm Local Action Groups (LAGs) from Hiiumaa and Saaremaa, altogether 40 people went to see how local product marketing is going on in Öland. „The reaseon why we went to Öland is the Harvest Festival” said Ly Kaups, the member of the board of Hiiumaa LAG. „We hope to learn from Öland’s experience how cooperation in local level, between artist and farmers, can benefit the community development, especially tourism and marketing the local product”.Lars Wellin, the manager of the Öland-Kalmar LAG, said that each year the number of visitors to Harvest Festival is larger; it means that the Festival is more and more popular among Swedes. Hiiumaa and Saaremaa delegation appreciates the effort that both B7 office and Öland-Kalmar LAG made to the visit interesting and educational. |
