Kärdla Cafés Days

Again on the 1st of August, traditional Cafés Day in Kärdla brought together 15 one-day cafés. The variety of cafés was wide – from home yard Italian style Bella Rosa to Blue Flash situated in Kärdla police station. There were thematic cafés such as in America style introducing old American cars and menu. Handicraft association presented a café Under the Blanket, Hiiumaa Museum did Baron’s Balcony, NGO from Kõpu village did Betlehem’s Star, and our guests from outside the island this year – Innovation Year 2009 in cooperation with Tartu Development Centre and Estonian Telework Centre opened Innovators’ Meeting Point. These are just some cafés to point out. You can find more at the home page http://www.15kohvikut.ee.
“Veteran” of the cafés project – Café Orientale, featured Little Paris this year and opened a French café, raised charity money nearly one thousand euros for Kärdla School library. As Hiiumaa is hosting B7 next year, the B7 café will hopefully be one among 15 cafés in 2010.
