B7 Baltic Islands Network

k-dsc_0625The Presidency of the B7 Baltic Islands Network rotates between member islands every year. From the 1st of January 2011 the organisation will be chaired for the third time by the island Rügen (Germany).

In accordance with the practice, the former B7 President – Mr Hannes Maasel from the Hiiumaa County Government passed on the symbolic hammer to the new President - Mr Uwe Ahlers from the Rügen County Council. The ceremony took place during the B7 Annual Conference held in Kärdla on Hiiumaa (23rd November 2010).

The members of the Rügen Chairmanship team would like to thank the entire Hiiumaa B7 personnel for a smooth and efficient transfer and congratulate for the great work they have done during the last year!
